Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

1. About this policy

This policy explains how The Car Concierge Australia collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using our website or our services, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

2. Who we are

The Car Concierge Australia (“TCCA”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Daniel E Biady, ABN 77 245 341 012, trading as The Car Concierge Australia.

We are a new car buying service. We help clients across Australia find and buy a brand new vehicle through our national network of dealerships. Our service is free to our clients: we are paid a fee by the selling dealership. We do not sell vehicles ourselves, and we do not provide credit.

3. What personal information we collect

We only collect what we reasonably need to provide our service. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:

  • Contact details: your name, phone number, email address, suburb, state and postcode.
  • Vehicle requirements: the make, model, variant, colour, options and timing you are after, and your budget.
  • Trade-in details: the make, model, year, kilometres, registration, condition and photos of a vehicle you want to trade in or sell.
  • Finance and leasing needs: whether you want help with a car loan or novated lease, and basic information you choose to give us so we can refer you to our finance partners.
  • Purchase details: the vehicle you buy, the selling dealership, the price and the delivery arrangements.
  • Communications: records of calls, emails, text messages and social media messages with us.
  • Reviews and photos: reviews, testimonials and photos you share with us or post publicly about our service.
  • Partner details: business contact details of dealers, finance partners, mortgage brokers, employers and other referral partners we work with.

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information. We do not collect your driver licence, bank account or credit card details. If you buy a vehicle, the selling dealership will collect the information it needs for the contract of sale directly from you, under its own privacy policy.

4. How we collect personal information

We collect most personal information directly from you, for example when you:

  • fill in an enquiry or quote form on our website;
  • call, email, text or message us, including through Facebook;
  • use our service to source, buy or trade in a vehicle; or
  • leave a review or send us photos.

We may also receive your information from others, such as a dealership we are working with on your purchase, one of our finance partners, or a referral partner such as your employer or mortgage broker. When this happens, we handle the information in line with this policy.

5. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • understand what you are looking for and give you quotes;
  • source your vehicle and negotiate with dealerships on your behalf;
  • arrange your trade-in, delivery and handover;
  • refer you to our finance partners when you ask for help with finance or a novated lease;
  • keep you updated on your order and answer your questions;
  • manage our relationships with dealerships and referral partners, including paying referral fees;
  • keep business records and meet our legal obligations;
  • improve our website and service; and
  • send you news, offers and updates, unless you opt out (see section 8).

6. Who we share personal information with

We only share what each party needs for its part of your purchase. This may include:

  • Dealerships: to get quotes, secure your vehicle, prepare the contract of sale and arrange delivery.
  • Our finance partners: when you ask for help with a car loan or novated lease. They will deal with you directly and handle your information under their own privacy policies and credit laws.
  • Trade-in buyers and valuers: to get offers on a vehicle you want to trade in or sell.
  • Referral partners: if you came to us through a partner, such as your employer or mortgage broker, we may tell them that you have bought a vehicle through us so we can pay their referral fee. We do not share your finance details or the price you paid with them.
  • Service providers: businesses that help us run our business, such as our customer relationship management (CRM) system, email, website hosting, IT support, and our accountant.
  • Authorities: where the law requires or allows it.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

7. Reviews and testimonials

We are proud of our client reviews and may show them on our website, social media and marketing materials. This includes reviews you post publicly on Google or Facebook.

When we publish a review, we show your first name, the first letter of your surname and your state, and may include a photo you shared with your review. If you would like your review or photo removed, or changed, email us and we will take care of it.

8. Marketing

We may send you updates, offers and news, such as referral offers, or a check-in when it may be time to upgrade. We follow the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by emailing us. We will still contact you about any purchase you have in progress.

9. Our website, cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to work properly, remember your preferences and understand how people use the site. We use:

  • Google Analytics: to measure visits and see which pages are most useful. Google provides an opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • HubSpot: to run our website forms and to connect your enquiry with any earlier visits to our site, so we can respond better.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the website, such as forms, may not work as well if you do.

10. Storage, security and overseas disclosure

We store personal information electronically using reputable cloud-based services. We protect it with password-protected accounts, two-factor authentication where available, and access limited to people who need it.

Some of our service providers, including our CRM and analytics providers, store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Before using a provider, we take reasonable steps to make sure it protects personal information to a standard consistent with the APPs.

When we no longer need personal information for any purpose allowed by law, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it.

11. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing us. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for a request, and we will only refuse one where the law allows, in which case we will explain why in writing.

Please let us know if your contact details change, so we can keep our records accurate.

12. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please email us with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on our website, with the date it was last updated.
